More progress

We made another trip to Picayune on Friday and got worn down again on trying to pick out lighting, but did make some headway.  Not finished, but closer to picking out all the stuff with sparks in it.

Sunday we took a trip to see the house and see how the spaces will look with the lights we were thinking about.  The drawings are OK for some things, but not others.

One highlight was to see the outline of the kitchen cabinets laid out on the floor in marker.  The cabinet guy has made some really good suggested changes, and we got to see how they would fit.

Here are a few more pix:

quick update

We took a trip east today to pick out some more light fixtures and then over to the coast to see the house.  Our friends Julie and Paul came along with us after we left the lighting place.

Framing nearing completion

I made a trip yesterday to resolve some window issues in the house, and to complete hanging lights in the boathouse.

Here are a few updates showing the roofline of the porches, and a few other details.

The framer may complete his work this week, wexcept for the ground floor.  Then its roofing and siding, and then interior crafts, such as AC/Heat, plumbing, electrical.

Porches being framed

not much else to say, beyond the title.  My contractor sent me this picture today.  I will try to go over there this weekend for an indepth look-see, and maybe to hang some more lights in the boathouse.

porch framing and more interior

I made a run over to the job site to help resolve some issues that developed with windows and roof lines.  While there I looked at the latest constrruction, as follows:
