8-12 Progress: House Framing and Dock

We passed by the building site on Sunday 8-12 to see what's gone up in the last week, and here are the results:

The main beams are all in place, and joist hangers installed.  They've started installing the floor joists, which are actually small truss units.

The dock and boat house has come a long way recently.  This is a shot of the big boat slip and roof structure.

Eventually, all this dock area and slips will be covered, but it's not there yet.

By the way, the bait fish activity in the bayou was crazy, and where there's bait, the game fish usually follow.  I hope to post more reports on that subject in the future.
